2009-11 Peace Scholarship!

The Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship is designed to further international understanding and goodwill, provide for study abroad in one of the 162 countries where Rotary clubs are located. Some 1,200 scholarships will be available from Rotary Clubs worldwide. This scholarship is worth up to $23,000. The Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship is one-year in length.

The Rotary World Peace Scholarship offers 60 individuals committed to peace and conflict resolution the opportunity to earn a two-year master’s level degree in international studies, peace studies and conflict resolution at one of the Rotary Center’s University partners; Japan, Argentina, England and Australia as well as North Carolina and California. This scholarship is worth up to $50,000.

Eligibility Requirements:
· Academic background, training, and work experience required for a master's level program at the university selected for study (1-2 year scholarships only)
· Proficiency in more than one language (World Peace Scholarship only)
· Excellent leadership skills
· Demonstrated commitment to peace and international understanding through personal and community service activities and/or academic and professional achievements
· Live or work within our local Rotary District 7230
